And it came to pass they entered,a few gathered round their Leader to ask why more had not come into the inner room.

They complained bitterly that their numbers were growing weak and tasks were becoming heavy.

Their Leader said unto them :

'Fear not, there are many who would like to enter.
Behold, they stand at the door, but they do not knock.

They bide their time, but you do not open the door unto them. They hunger and thirst after a chance to do service, yet you do not invite them in.

They wish to sit and sup with us, yet you do not call them by name.

Ye, who call yourselves faithful are selfish. Get up off your seats which are leaden, and go ye into all the communities searching out the new followers lest our Members peter out to nothing.

Then shall we be strong and no more shall those who desire to join with us be left standing out in the cold.

Verily I say unto you, if each of you do that which is expected, our
Cup will surely runneth over in strength, service and fellowship.

And they went out and hastened to do that which they were told. Even the most sceptical among them was surprised to find there were many, not far off, who fell down, thanking them for their invitation
'TO SERVE'.
